Last night as we moved forward in our study of Revelation, I was moved and compelled by the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:8 where he said, “In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord the righteous judge will award to me on that day and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing.” Paul was in his final days of life when he reminded Timothy that as Christians, one of the things that marks our Christian lives is the fact that we should be longing to see Jesus. This thought has been deep on my heart now. How much do we as believers really long to see Jesus?

If you were given the chance today to either see Christ or continue living the life you have, which one would you choose? I encourage you, as I am in my own personal life, to try and figure out how much you would love to see Christ right now at this moment? For many of us, we suddenly realize that we probably know too many people who aren’t ready for His return. They’re lost and if Christ were to return now, we’d never see them again and they would be eternally bound in hell. For others, we have lived in the land of plenty way too long. We would have a hard time choosing between the things we have gained in this world and the great thing He has for us in the next.

I pray that as we look at the season of Christmas, you will ask youself, just as I am, how much would you really love to see Jesus right now. Are you ready? If you don’t know Jesus, I would love to talk to you some more about this, so feel free to let me know.

God Bless!
